I loved the part of this chapter on page 22 when the minutes from a meeting are given that indicate what each sister is willing to give to the building of the temple and the cause of Zion. Each sister came up with a unique & creative offering that brought to life their individuality and sacrifice. It made me think of each sister in our Cedar Hills 9th ward, and how we all have something different to contribute. Whether it is our time, material goods, ideas, or leadership...each sincere offering is like a piece of a quilt that when sewn together creates a beautiful masterpiece of service and devotion. These little offerings put a face on each of the sisters who gave and it fostered a love inside of me for these early pioneers who gave whatever they could; just as we do today. LOVED IT!
